Sonya Philip is a local (she lives in Bay area) textile artist i just came to know about today. i am in owe of her style of knitting in the middle of objects. she creates a whole and then she knits the whole! how? just sent her an email today if she could possibly teach me how she does it! cross my fingers she contacts me! she had an open studio in sf this past weekend. unfortunately i did not even know she existed til today.
